1. Four unfavorable factors affecting quality should be paid attention to when injecting glue: porosity, dustiness, unevenness and pollution of stone.
Porosity: Generally, a primer that is compatible with the seam glue should be applied to the surface of the stone to seal the hole. Because the Baiyun brand SS602 stone silicone sealant used in this project is a single-component neutral curing product, it is suitable for porous stone materials. It has a good bonding effect and does not need to be sealed with primer.
Dust: Because the dust remains in the pores during processing, the air dust remains on the joint surface during transportation and installation, and it needs to be carefully cleaned. If it is not handled well, the glue will not adhere firmly, and it will be difficult to detect, and water seepage will occur in the future. The difference in climate and temperature during glue making will also affect the quality of glue injection.
Inhomogeneity and pollution of stone: Because the chemical composition of stone from different origins is different, and the crystal structure is different in density, neutral glue that will not cause pollution and adhesion problems to the stone should be selected. Because some chemical additives and surface treatment agents used in the processing process will remain on the surface and pores of the stone, the stone factory is required to not use chemical additives during processing, and clean the surface with clean water before packing. Before injecting glue, paste temporary protective paper on both sides of the glue joint surface. The adhesive surface should be dry and not wet (moisture content not greater than 15%), free of dust, oil stains, and not loose, too smooth for rough treatment. After finishing touch up in time, use a scraper to flatten the excess glue, and then tear off the protective paper before the surface is hard to get a perfect glue injection seam.
2. Anchorage of pendants: To fix pendants, use a slotting machine to cut out a 7~8mm wide arc groove on a 35mm thick stone slab. The depth should be greater than the depth of the hook. If the slot position is not correct, cracks and fractures will be formed when fixing the pendant. . Use low-silicone weathering glue to flexibly fix one side of the pendant to solve the difference in linear expansion coefficient between stainless steel and stone and eliminate stress. Do not make hard contact when anchoring.
3. The width of the glue joint: Considering the deformation and temperature stress changes caused by earthquake and wind load, in order to reserve enough glue joints between the plates to eliminate the displacement, the glue joint width is 8mm.
