The hue of travertine is mostly beige, which makes people feel gentle, rich in texture, and clear in stripes, which promotes the decoration of buildings to have a strong cultural and historical charm, and they are used on walls and floors in many buildings around the world.
For example, most of the arena in Rome, Italy is travertine. Although it has gone through 2000 years, it is still magnificent. The use of travertine in the Bank of China Headquarters Building and the Chinese Embassy in the United States has reached more than 20,000 square meters.
However, due to the existence of a large number of holes in the travertine, the water absorption rate of the stone increases, the strength decreases, and the weather resistance is poor. At the same time, due to the large number of pores, a lot of dust will accumulate and it is difficult to clean.
Then, how should travertine be maintained? So as to avoid this problem? The following editor will share with you.

1, follow-up polishing:
Select marble polishing agent to polish.
Such as: JT-315 polishing 2 times, JT-318 polishing 2 times, JT-318+JT-308=3:1 polishing 2 times; also can use JT-315 polishing 2 times, JT-318 polishing 2 times, JT- 317+JT-310A=1:1 polishing 2 times.
2, dry grinding cleaning:
Use a 150-mesh marble polishing pad to dry sand once to remove the aging layer and oxide layer on the surface of the stone, open the pores of the stone, and ensure the effective penetration of the stone protective agent in the later period;
3, brushing protection:
Applying composite nano siloxane protective agent to prevent water from entering the stone during the stone grinding process and causing stone disease. During operation, please keep the stone clean and dry. Pour the protective agent into a clean and dry bucket. Use an applicator to moisten and brush to ensure a uniform and sufficient amount. Generally, the protective agent can stay on the stone surface for 20 to 30 minutes. Dry, it is regarded as sufficient; after applying the protective agent, keep in good health at room temperature for 48 hours, and every 10 degrees of temperature drop, the curing time will be extended by 2-4 times; also pay attention to applying the fluorine protective agent along the seam to prevent later leakage ;
4, open seam repair glue:
After the stone protective agent surface is dry, the seam can be opened with a dust-free seam machine to fill the marble glue;

5. Stone grinding:
After the protective agent curing time is over, use 150 mesh with water to grind and level the stone;
6, graded grinding:
After the grinding of 150 mesh is finished, grind step by step to 3000 mesh;
7. Repair holes:
According to the requirements of Party A, select the corresponding marble glue, and use the straight plate and the serrated plate to make the glue together to ensure that the air in the hole is emptied. After the glue is dry, grind again with 150 mesh until there is no glue on the surface of the stone;
8. Stone pickling:
After 150 mesh grinding is finished, the stone surface is clean and dry, and then pickled.
The operation is as follows:
Mix with granite cleaner + granite water spot cleaning + water in a ratio of 1:1:1, and then use a floor brush or hand brush for pickling 2-3 times (pickling until the holes are cleaned), twice and a half each time After washing and waiting for 40 minutes, suck up the liquid with a water suction machine. Note: This step must not be washed with water, otherwise the glue will not be applied;
